WHAT IS THE CLEAN FIGHT?
The Clean Fight NY is a not-for-profit accelerator helping growth-stage clean energy companies from around the world scale in New York to meet future energy and efficiency needs, while boosting economic opportunity and job creation for all. Powered by New Energy Nexus. Funded by NYSERDA. Our 2020 inaugural cohort is focused on high-impact solutions that can help decarbonize New York's unique building stock, at speed.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING IN THE CLEAN FIGHT?
Our goal is to help growth-stage clean energy companies from around the world scale in New York, at speed. We do this by helping build deep relationships with corporate and investor partners who can enable rapid growth. We’ve designed the program to be as efficient and effective as possible, offering the following tailored benefits: no relocation for program; no equity stake taken; hands-on matchmaking with industry-leading corporate partners in a time-efficient format; non-dilutive grants available to fund resulting partnership agreements, bridge loans, or growth rounds ($1.25M available per cohort: companies can apply for up to $500k, but no funds are guaranteed); tailored support services to equip the company for scale ($25-30k in value guaranteed per company); and, assistance navigating the New York market from top regulators and industry experts. There will be 8-12 companies per cohort. Find out more here.
WHAT FINANCIAL SUPPORT DOES THE CLEAN FIGHT PROVIDE?
The Clean Fight NY has $1.25M in non-dilutive grant money per cohort to fund pilots or other agreements resulting from the corporate match-making aspect of the program. We can also fund bridge loans, and in certain cases participate in growth rounds. If selected into the program, you are eligible to apply for a grant up to $500k from this pool of funds. There will be 8-12 companies per cohort. Grants require a 2:1 private match. This benefit is in addition to the $25-30k set aside for each selected company for technical support resources, which does not require a match.
